PROGRESS (PROmoting Geoscience Research, Education, and SuccesS) is an evidence-based program that provides professional development resources, access to women & gender-minority mentors and role models, and online discussions and resources. The efficacy of PROGRESS is well-documented.

PROGRESS fundamentals

  • Connecting undergraduate students to more senior geoscientists
  • Establishing connections between the students (on individual campuses and regionally)
  • Helping students identify role models and the value of mentoring
  • Providing training in resiliency strategies
