Tropical Cyclones Hurricane Emily

Research focuses on the fundamental dynamics of tropical cyclones including cyclogenesis, motion, intensity, trochoidal track oscillations, and mesoscale features of the eye region. Studies apply theoretical, modeling, observational, and experimental design to further investigate this atmospheric phenomenon. Improved understanding of these storms will better prepare people for tropical cyclones that pose serious threats to life and property in coastal areas.
