Within 12 months of M.S. (within 18 months of starting the Ph.D. program for those not completing an M.S. in our graduate program)
7 Report of Preliminary Examination

Within two working days after preliminary exam
8 Changes in Committee

(REMINDER: if any committee member cannot attend an exam, a substitute must be approved by Graduate School prior to the exam)
9 Proposal Assessment Committee Meeting Typically 6-12 months after the Preliminary Examination
10 Application for Graduation

(Ph.D. and M.S. candidates)
Second week of graduation term for fall and spring semesters; first week of eight-week summer term (any changes in coursework submitted on the GS6 must be corrected on this form)
11 Submit thesis/dissertation to Committee
(Ph.D. and M.S. candidates)
Four weeks prior to final exam
12 Announcement of Final Exam Two weeks prior to final exam notify department head assistant for faculty announcement.
13 Report of Results of Final Exam
(GS24 form)
(Ph.D. and M.S. candidates)
Within two working days after oral exam; for written exams - by the end of the eleventh week of the graduation term for fall and spring and by the end of the fifth week of the eight-week summer term
14 Present signed thesis to the Graduate School
(Ph.D and M.S. candidates)
pay microfilm fee (Ph.D. candidates only)
