Wireless Network Access

Academic Computing and Networking Services (ACNS) provides secure wireless access in the Main and ACRC buildings using the "CSU" SSID. You will need a valid eID and VPN client to access the CSU secure wireless network.

Guests visiting the Department may connect to the CSU-Visitors SSID using a login credential supplied by ACNS. To obtain this credential, please contact your hosting systems administrator.

Additionally, the department hosts a secure mechanism for wireless access called EasyAccess (802.11i for the technically inclined). This mechanism will allow wireless clients on campus to connect to the SSID csu-net, and supply their eID credentials for access to network (and Internet) resources, without a need for the VPN client. Full documentation and procedures, including a demonstration video showing how to connect an XP box to this new network, are available at: http://www.acns.colostate.edu/?page=wireless_80211i
