New Atmospheric Science Facility Information
Construction has begun on a new Atmospheric Science facility, to be called ATS West, at the Foothills Campus. This new building is associated with the new NSF Science and Technology Center - CMMAP (Center for Multiscale Modeling of Atmospheric Processes).
CMMAP's Director is David Randall, Professor in Atmospheric Science. The goal of CMMAP is to improve the representation of cloud processes in global climate models.
This 5 million dollar, 13,000 sq ft building will house CMMAP and other ATS scientists and staff. Completion of construction is slated for late Fall 2008.
