The missions of the Department of Atmospheric Science are to provide quality graduate education, conduct cutting edge research in the atmospheric sciences, and provide service to Colorado, the nation, and the world. We collaborate with other CSU groups as well as national and international groups addressing weather, climate, and environmental issues. Central to our mission objectives are the discovery of new knowledge, the preparation of future leaders in atmospheric science, and the development of new observational, modeling, and analysis techniques.
